Banasura Sagar Dam Wayanad: The Largest Earthen Dam in India

Banasura Sagar Dam is the largest earthen dam in India and the second largest in Asia , I Visited Banasura this tourist spot on 01 September 2024 . Just one month after the Mundakkai, chooralmala disaster. Due to the large landslide disaster, there were very few people . At that time, the whole wayanad tourism just starting to function. many famous destinations was closed on that time like Chembra peak., but Banasura sagar dam was open and completely functioning . In Banasura sagar dam, there are many activities like ropeway cycling, kayaking etc.. i took a single person kayaking . when the kayaking, i really enjoyed the dam beauty and found many creatures that i never seen before like Herennia multipuncta ,you can see the image below also i took beautiful images of Banasura Sagar Dam.
